Destination Wedding: Everything came together perfectly

Destination Wedding: Everything came together perfectly

[smartads]

The team at Destination Turks and Caicos has planned and managed many wedding ceremonies over the years with one goal in mind – creating wonderful memories. So when Hallie and Brandon had this to say – everything came together perfectly – we knew that we had delivered on their dream of having their perfect destination wedding.

Hallie and Brandon chose a simple ceremony on the beach in front of Club Med where they stayed. Rather than the traditional arch under which the ceremony is performed, the bride, groom, and officiant stood within a circle defined by flowers (circle of love) under the watchful eyes of the groomsmen and bridesmaids. The couple got inspired to opt for a beachside ceremony after attending one of their mutual friend’s Lake Como wedding. Their planning and ideas worked out well because the wedding was just perfect!

Hailing from Long Beach, Mississippi, this is how Hallie summed up the experience on TripAdvisor:

A group of 7 of us visited Provo June 6-13th for my wedding. We all stayed at Club Med and had an amazing time. We chose to stay at Club Med after hearing great reviews from our friends that have stayed there twice.

There was always something to do at the resort but we spent the majority of our time floating in Grace Bay! I have to admit it was stressful planning our wedding ceremony since my husband and I have never visited the Island.

After a lot of research, I chose Keisha Delancy at Destination Turks and Caicos Ltd. to plan our wedding. We did not use the Club Med planners since they charged an extra $1,000 to make it a legal ceremony.

Keisha did an amazing job planning our wedding ceremony. We basically had to just show up and Keisha and her team had taken care of everything. Keisha and her team exceeded our expectations.

Keisha always promptly responded via email when I had any questions about our ceremony. She chose the perfect officiant, Pastor Sherlock [Padmore], who made us feel at ease. We are so thankful for her and her team making our day perfect!

Our ceremony took place in front of the Lucayan restaurant, where it was a little more secluded. It was awesome. I was also so fortunate to find a phenomenal photographer on the island, Marisa Findlay. As I had a destination wedding, I thought we were going to have to fly someone over. I loved the work of Olga Topchii (www.olgatopchii.com), but she would have to come from New York. I was more than willing to pay for her to come over and shoot our wedding until I found out that Marisa could take some pictures for us. When I return to the States I am planning a wedding party for any guests who were unable to attend and I’m contemplating using Olga for that. Marisa made us feels so comfortable with her knowledge of photography. She put us at ease as she photographed our ceremony and “trash the dress” shoot. Marisa is not only an amazing photographer but also just an awesome person. Having a photographer who makes you feel comfortable is so important because it makes the pictures look more natural as everyone is relaxed. Getting high quality pictures is essential, especially when you’ve bought your dream dress from your local dress franchise. Hopefully you’re not going to have to wear it again after your wedding, so making sure you have the photographs for memories is a lovely way to remember your big day.

I had Sheque Perfection do my hair for my ceremony. She came to my room and showed up right on time. She did a fabulous job on my hair and my hair even stayed put until the next morning for my “trash the dress” shoot.

My husband and I are ecstatic that everything came together perfectly for such and important day in our lives. We could not have done it without Keisha or Marisa!! I hope this post may help other people planning a wedding in Turks and Caicos. I know I did a lot of research trying to find the perfect people to plan our wedding. Had I got married a little closer to home, I probably would have gone down the more traditional route from dresses to transport and used the local business Dream Limousines, Inc, or something similar! Nonetheless, the day was perfect.

We knew that Hallie and Brandon had a choice, so we are thankful that Destination TCI was chosen to make their dream wedding a reality. We wish them every success in their marriage and invite them to visit the islands again.

We are grateful to Marisa Findlay for the captivating photos that will forever preserve the memories of that day.
